Rhinoplasty
Nasal Contouring (Rhinoplasty)
Rhinoplasty (also referred to as a ‘nose job’) involves the reshaping of the nose and nasal passage. People choose to have rhinoplasty at our Philadelphia practice for a variety of reasons, including correction of a birth defect, enhancement of facial aesthetics or post-injury restoration. To realize an even greater result, many of our clients combine procedures such as rhinoplasty and chin implant. Dr. Dolsky Medical Director of Cosmetic Surgery of Philadelphia.will develop a custom rhinoplasty (nasal contouring) plan for you and help you determine which procedure or combination of procedures will produce the best results.
Rhinoplasty takes one to two hours and is performed under general anesthesia. During the surgery, the cartilage and bone of the nose are reshaped. There are two types of surgical methods: closed and open rhinoplasty. Incisions are made from inside of the nose during closed rhinoplasty, resulting in no visible scars. In open rhinoplasty, a small incision is made between the nostrils; however, these scars are barely visible within a few months after surgery.
Dr. Dolsky’s enthusiasm for and interest in the area of rhinoplasty was born out of his unique background and training as both an ear, nose and throat surgeon and a cosmetic plastic surgeon. Since rhinoplasty at our Philadelphia office combines both art and science, Dr. Dolsky’s medical experience is further supported by his education and interest in art history. Indeed, Dr. Dolsky’s keen aesthetic eye and superior surgical skills ensure that your results will be of an uncompromisingly high quality.
